As always, Lonestar is a great race.

Swim was the usual swim at that inlet.

The bike ride down was interesting. As we got onto Seawall Blvd., the wind was terrible and it was right in our faces. I went into this race with the goal of purposely holding back on the bike, in order to try and have a better run. So that, combined with the headwind, made the first half of the bike ride pretty slow (17.58 MPH)

When we made the turn, I was able to quite a bit faster, but unlike other races (where I would have really picked up the pace), I stayed within the original plan and remained conservative, going 20.79 MPH.

The run was hot and humid. I felt pretty good for the first 6 miles, but tired out during the second half.

Overall, my run time was the fasted run at a 70.3 ever. So, the experiment of slowing the bike did help out on having a better run.
